I’m an introvert.
Not because I don’t enjoy people — but because I don’t enjoy empty conversations. The kind that skim the surface and move on. I’ve always found myself drawn to depth, to meaning, to quiet reflection.
I recharge differently. I recharge by being alone. By lighting one of my favourite soy wax candles. By sitting with my journal. By replaying the day in my mind — what I felt, what I learned, what I want to hold on to, and what I want to let go.
Those quiet moments are not lonely for me. They are grounding.
Fragrance, in particular, has always held a special place in that ritual. A beautiful, soothing scent can shift my entire mood. It slows me down. It softens the noise. It brings me back to myself. Nothing else quite does that for me. Thoughtfully crafted home fragrance has that ability — to create space where the mind can rest.
For the longest time, I wondered if this sensitivity was unusual. But now, I recognize it as something deeply personal — and something I value. Knowing what grounds me allows me to intentionally return to it. To create moments of calm. To recalibrate. To recharge.
This is also why I’ve always been drawn to handmade candles and wooden wick candles. There’s something about their soft crackle, their clean burn, and their quiet presence that feels more intentional — more aligned with slowing down.
A candle, for me, isn’t just soy wax and a wooden wick.
It’s not just another product in the world of scented candles in India.
It’s a pause.
A reset.
A quiet return to self
